Where is the Kia Rio built?

I’ve been driving a Kia Rio for a few years but never thought to check where it came from. Are Kia Rios made in the U.S.?

Kia is a South Korean automaker—albeit one with manufacturing plants all around the world. Although Kia does have a plant in the U.S., the Kia Rio is made in Monterrey, Mexico.
