Where is the Jeep Renegade made?

I’ve always considered Jeep one of the most American cars out there, but my brother-in-law is trying to tell me my Jeep Renegade wasn’t even made here. Is he just trying to burst my bubble like usual? Where are Jeep Renegades made?

We have some bad news for you…. Your brother-in-law is right! Though Jeep has been named the most patriotic auto manufacturer for 20 years and counting, the Jeep Renegade has primarily been made in Melfi, Italy for its entire production.
This may come as a shock to long-time Jeep lovers, but the Jeep Renegade has never been produced on American soil. Jeep is a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler, which in turn is owned by Stellantis. The Jeep Renegade is likely produced in Italy because it’s essentially a
Fiat 500X
in Jeep disguise.
While this explains why the Renegade is produced in Italy, it may leave you aching for an American-made car. Use the
