Although there are some reasonably priced Jeeps, prices have risen over the last year, and we are almost certain this trend will continue as time goes on. Keep these tips in mind to help you save when it comes time to buy:
- Choose the base model. The Renegade Latitude already comes with plenty of features and tech, and staying with the base trim can keep costs to a minimum.
- Opt for pre-owned. If you are truly trying to keep costs as low as possible and only care about getting from A to B, purchasing a used Renegade will bring the price thousands of dollars below the 2023 ask.
- Look for dealer incentives. You may not be able to get any electric vehicle incentives with a Jeep, but you can still keep an eye out for any deals offered at your local Jeep dealer.

- Hyundai Santa Fe: Starting at $29,495, the 2023 Santa Fe carries on the legacy of reliability, but its lackluster performance and fuel efficiency leave much to be desired.
- Ford Escape: The Ford Escape, which starts at $28,995 for 2023, is the cheapest Ford SUV—and its interior coated with an uninspired plastic trim is an immediate tell. But if style is not a priority, the Escape offers multiple powertrain options, and is one of the only to include standard driver assistance features.
