Where is the gas release on a Hyundai Santa Fe?

I just got a Hyundai Santa Fe a few days ago and I’m in need of some fuel. Problem is, I can’t find the gas release button. Where is the gas release on a Hyundai Santa Fe?

Fret not! If you’re not able to find a gas release in the driver’s door or front floor area, you have a newer Hyundai Santa Fe model that doesn’t have a gas release at all. In these models, simply push on the center-rear edge of the fuel door directly—it will open once you release the pressure.
Here’s a little break down of Hyundai Santa Fe gas release button locations by model year:
  • 2005 to 2012: lever by the driver’s front-left floor area
  • 2013 to 2018: button in the driver’s side door
  • 2019 and newer: no gas release button, just push the fuel door directly
Fortunately, the fuel door on newer models can only be released when the vehicle is parked, turned off, and the doors are unlocked. So if you’re worried about fuel thieves opening your fuel door and raiding your Hyundai SUV’s precious gas—you’re good to go as long as you remembered to lock up.
To give you even more peace of mind while your Hyundai’s in the lot or on the road, it’s always a good idea to secure quality
car insurance
protection, too.
