Where is the Acura MDX’s OBD port location?

I love my 2022 Acura MDX, but its Check Engine light came on today. My girlfriend has a scan tool, so she plans to run a diagnostic test. Where is its OBD port located in the MDX?

The dreaded Check Engine light—hope it’s nothing serious! The OBD port in an
Acura MDX
is below the steering wheel, above the gas pedal.
OBD stands for Onboard Diagnostics II (OBD-II). This port allows you to access your Acura MDX’s internal computer to run tests and diagnostics. It’s great that your girlfriend has an OBD-II scan tool on hand because a scanner will help you run a successful test.
You and your girlfriend should follow these three steps to scan your MDX:
  • Plug the scan tool into your OBD port
  • Turn on the scanner and turn the ignition in your MDX
  • Press “Scan” on the scanner and follow the instructions on the screen
All scanners are a little different, so you’ll want to follow your scan tool’s specific instructions. If the test is successful, you can
read a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
on the scanner to help decipher your MDX’s problem within a few seconds.
Common 2022 Acura MDX issues include problems with the electrical system, brakes, and suspension. Best of luck!
