. This was the original filming location of the iconic 1973 movie, and the car was loaned from Clay and May Daily—two Petaluma residents—for the film.The Dailys have since passed away, but the car was allegedly handed down to the family. Due to the number of replicas that have emerged in the past 50 years, no one’s quite sure where the car is today, even with claims that it’s still in Petaluma. No car has since been authenticated as the original, so it remains somewhat of a mystery.
