Where is the 2012 Toyota Camry OBD port location?

My Camry is starting to struggle, but I’m hesitant to take it to a mechanic since it’s a bit old. I’d rather do some diagnostics myself, first. Where is the OBD port located on a 2012 Toyota Camry?

You definitely don’t want to spend extra money on a trip to the mechanic if you could easily solve the problem on your own. An OBD-II scanner will help—but first, you need to know where to put it!
You should find the 2012
Toyota Camry
OBD port location on the dash paneling between your steering wheel and your pedals. You may have to remove some paneling to get to it.
The OBD port is a long, 16-prong outlet, and you’ll probably need to use a flashlight to make it easier to find. Unfortunately, you may be better off going to a mechanic if the OBD port in your 2012 Camry is hidden behind interior paneling, as they’ll be better equipped to remove the paneling without damaging it.
If not, you’re ready to use an OBD-II scanner! You’ll first have to
understand car OBD codes
to properly diagnose your vehicle, but it will be worth it when you can make an informed decision on how to handle your
car repairs
without paying a professional to tell you.
