Where is the 2006 Chevy Equinox’s battery located?
I need to replace my 2006 Chevy Equinox’s battery soon, but I’ve never done it before, and this is my first time owning a Chevrolet vehicle, so I don’t know where exactly the battery is. Where is the 2006 Chevy Equinox’s battery located?

A 2006 Chevy Equinox’s battery is located underneath the hood just in front of the underhood fuse box, which is more-or-less in line with your steering wheel. If you need further help finding the fuse box, consult your owner’s manual for a helpful diagram.
You’ll easily identify the battery because your Chevy Equinox’s engine control module (ECM), which sports multiple fins and several large connectors, snaps onto the plastic battery cover.
All you have to do to expose the battery is unsnap the ECM from the plastic cover, lay it off to the side, and remove the cover.
