Currently, about 80% of Hondas sold in Australia are made in Thailand, but some are also made in Japan.
This switch to Japanese sourcing is a new development for Honda Australia. The vehicles currently being manufactured in Japan include the new hybrid versions of the Honda Civic and HR-V, but the list may grow over time. Honda Australia heads are hopeful that this switch will lead to smoother, more fixed pricing, among other things.
