What's the most dangerous color of car to drive?

I'm buying a new car, and I know that some colors of car have a higher frequency of accidents than others. I want to reduce my risk of accidents as much as I can, so which colors should I avoid?

“Congrats on the new car! This is a pervading myth, and it’s no surprise that people believe it, but there are no proven studies showing that any color of car is more or less dangerous.
The only consensus is that a bright- or light-colored vehicle, like red, yellow, white, or orange, is easier to see. When you are more visible to drivers, you may avoid accidents. However, the color of your vehicle has little to do with an accident caused by a negligent driver.
As long as you use your vehicle properly, the color won’t impact your safety. The model of vehicle you have, however, can impact both your
car insurance
and safety. For example, a sports car is likely to be considered more dangerous based on its speed, and a vehicle with a lower safety rating may also have higher insurance costs.
Before purchasing a new vehicle, you can always research the safety features and request
car insurance quotes
to determine the cost and how safe a vehicle may be.
One of the easiest ways to do this is by using the
Jerry
app. We’ll get you multiple quotes from top-of-the-line providers so that all you have to do is choose the policy that works best for you. If you want to move forward with getting a specific plan, we’ll help with all of the paperwork!
Good luck with the purchase—and feel free to choose any color you’d like!”
