What’s the difference between a Nissan Rogue S and SV?

So my wife of nearly thirty years recently retired from the State Department. She was posted all over the world, often as a “political attaché” or “cultural affairs officer”. I would tease her that she’s actually some super spy. She’d laugh and say “Oh Carl, stop it.” But one time I made this joke and the next thing I knew I woke up inside a shipping crate in my jockeys at the port of Jakarta. I’ve since stopped making this joke.

Anyways, for our anniversary I’m gonna get her a new SUV, the Nissan Rogue with the license plate “I SPY”—can’t wait to see the look on her face! So what’s the difference between a Nissan Rogue S and SV?

No matter the trim, every 2023 Nissan Rogue is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine and 201 horsepower—the
Rogue S
, which starts at $28,655, is the base trim, while the
Rogue SV
, starting at $30,345, is the next trim up and offers more convenience features and more advanced driver-assist technology.
While the Rogue S is the base trim, it is decently equipped with plenty of convenience features as well as some driver-assist technology:
  • 17-inch alloy wheels
  • LED headlights with auto high beams
  • Height-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Satellite radio
  • 8-inch touchscreen
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability
  • Two USB charge ports
  • Rear-seat reminder
The Rogue S comes standard with some driver-assist technology, including forward-collision mitigation, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear automatic braking.
The Rogue SV is a considerable step up, and comes standard with the following:
  • 18-inch wheels
  • Heated exterior mirrors with LED turn indicators
  • Remote engine start and keyless entry
  • Dual zone climate control system
  • Power-adjustable driver’s seat
  • WiFi access and Nissan Connected Services
  • Two rear USB charge ports
  • Six-speaker audio system
Along with the driving assist technology found on the Rogue S, the Rogue SV gets the following extra driver-assist tech—adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and lane-keeping system. The optional SV Premium package includes goodies such as a panoramic sunroof, faux-leather upholstery, and a power liftgate, amongst other features.
So, whether you opt for the Rogue S or the Rogue SV (we here at Jerry strongly suggest the Rogue SV), you’ll want to protect it with a robust
