I’m going on vacation to Myrtle Beach with my boyfriend, but we’re planning to drive there instead of flying. What's the best route to get to Myrtle Beach from Columbus, Ohio?

That sounds like a fun vacation plan! The best route from Columbus,
Ohio
 to Myrtle Beach involves the following:
  • Take US-23 South out of Ohio
  • Continue onto US-35 East
  • Merge onto I-64 and stay on that road while following signs for Beckley
  • When you reach I-77 South, merge onto that interstate instead
  • Stay on I-77 South until you reach US-52 South
  • Merge onto I-40 East to reach I-74
  • Take exit 319, then turn onto SC-38 East
  • Continue onto US-501 South, and stay on this highway until you start seeing signs for Myrtle Beach!
Overall, this trip will still take you just under 10 hours without any breaks. This means that it’s a good idea to find a hotel or campsite about halfway through your trip. The midway point between these two locations is
Blacksburg
, Virginia, so that might be a good place to book a hotel.
