What type of oil does a Hyundai Sonata take?

I’m going to start changing my own oil on my Sonata to save some money, but I’ve never done it before. What kind of oil should I buy?

 takes is SAE 5W-20 or SAE 5W-30.
Hyundai
 recommends drivers use synthetic oil in their Sonata. It’s pretty affordable and lasts far longer in your car than if you opt for conventional oil. Conventional oil requires changing every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, whereas synthetic oil won’t need to be changed for 7,500 to 10,000 miles.
