What Porsche is the safest?
Does Porsche make safe vehicles, or are sports cars always dangerous? What is the safest Porsche?

Porsche
is known for its iconic, powerful, precise-handling sports cars—but that doesn’t mean safety is sacrificed. The safest Porsche on the market is the Taycan, a modern and luxurious take on electric-powered vehicles. The Taycan came out in 2020, and it received the maximum five-star safety rating from the European New Car Assessment Program (EuroNCAP). This was largely due to its rigid structure, which barely bends in the event of a collision. Eight airbags plus three-point seatbelts with force limiters further cushion passengers.
This high-end electric vehicle also features automated emergency braking technology which detects pedestrians and cyclists and avoids or mitigates crashes in most cases, according to the EuroNCAP.
A Rear End Collision Alert System (RECAS) also warns the traffic behind your Taycan of a potential rear-end collision, and Porsche’s InnoDrive system uses navigation data, radar, and video sensors to adjust driving speed according to speed limits, topology, roundabouts, bends, and traffic.
Keep in mind that many Porches aren’t put through crash tests by the EuropNCAP or similar determinators of safety like the IIHS and the NHTSA. This is because Porches are such expensive vehicles, and—since there are so relatively few on the road—they don’t pose a significant threat to drivers.
However, Porsche still needs to meet all of the legally required standards, and so—based on the long list of standard and optional safety features—you can assume that your Porsche is just as safe as any other car on the road.
