What is the warranty on the Nissan Leaf battery?

How long is the warranty on a Nissan Leaf battery? I want to get an electric car but I’m worried about the battery dying because I know they’re expensive to replace.

The warranty on your
Nissan Leaf
battery lasts for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever one comes first. This means that for the first eight years of ownership, you’ll be able to get your battery replaced if it fails. Nissan will also replace your battery if it falls below 75% capacity.
Replacing your battery without the warranty in place will cost about $4,500 for the battery itself, plus an additional charge of around $1,000 for the labor. The total cost of a battery replacement is usually around $5,500.
