What is the warranty on a 2017 Ford Escape?
A friend of mine wants to sell his 2017 Ford Escape to buy a new one. It’s in great cosmetic condition and he’s taken meticulous care of it. My only concern is that it’s no longer under warranty. What’s the warranty on a 2017 Escape?

When your friend bought this car, the 2017 Ford Escape had a 3-year/36,000-mile basic (bumper-to-bumper warranty) and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Between these two warranties, virtually every component of the car was covered from manufacturer defects and poor workmanship.
However, these warranties have since expired. Although the warranty was transferable, there’s nothing left in terms of mileage or years. As a result, you’re on your own for repairs and maintenance. You could always purchase a third-party warranty or a Ford extended warranty if you want peace of mind.
