What is the warranty on a 2015 Kia Optima?
My friend wants to sell his 2015 Kia Optima. I took it for a test drive, and I think I’m sold. My only issue is that I’ve had problems with used cars in the past, so I want to make sure it’s under warranty. What’s the 2015 Kia Optima warranty?

The warranty on a 2015 Kia Optima includes a 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. However, Kia has a strange caveat when it comes to the second owner.
If you’re the second owner of the vehicle, the Kia 10-year/100,000-mile warranty gets swapped for a 5-year/60,000-mile warranty. As such, neither of the warranties would be in effect for your friend’s used Optima. If anything goes wrong, you’ll have to pay for it out of pocket unless you buy a third-party extended warranty.
