, are protected with a new car warranty. This multi-part warranty provides protection on most parts of the Tesla, provided that it’s a manufacturer’s defect or a problem with craftsmanship. The three parts of the Tesla Model S warranty include:
- 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, also known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty
- 8-year, unlimited miles powertrain warranty
- 8-year/150,000-mile battery warranty, which ensures that the battery maintains 70% of its capacity or more during the timeframe.
