Starting off, we have the ACD-DK 12,500 lb electric winch. With a price range of $280 to $370, this winch is quite a steal. With a generous 12,500ln pulling capacity, you can rest assured that this winch can pull your truck and then some. It’s also fully waterproof—so much so that you could haul your Raptor out of a lake if necessary. This one gets great reviews: it does exactly what it’s supposed to, is reliable, and is a pretty great price. But the warranty period is a little skimpy, just two years of electrical warranty.
The Smittybilt X20 Waterproof will cost you upwards of $500, depending on where you purchase it from. That said, Smittybilt is one of the most trusted brands in the winch biz, so much so that their products are backed by a lifetime technical and a five year mechanical warranty. Plus, it comes with a wireless remote so you can use it a distance—which will surely come in handy should you ever find yourself stuck!
The Rough Country 12,000lb Pro Series is both water and dust proof, making it a great option for drivers who tend to be off-roading in the sand or desert. Although it doesn’t have a remote control, it does come with a cable that allows you to operate the winch from 12 feet away. At $500, it’s a good middle ground between the other two winches on our list.
