What is the 2014 Chrysler 200 engine ticking noise?
I’ve had a 2014 Chrysler 200 for about a year now. So far, I haven’t noticed any issues with it, but lately, it’s been making this weird ticking noise that’s coming from the engine. What could be causing the ticking noise on my 2014 Chrysler 200?

The 2014 Chrysler 200 engine ticking noise is almost always the result of a bad lifter. This is a known problem in Chrysler, Dodge, and RAM vehicles from this era. While it isn’t an immediate cause for concern, you will definitely have to replace it at some point.
A bad lifter sits between the cylinder valves and the camshaft, allowing the valves to open. When they don’t open all the way, they can bang against the cylinder, hence the engine ticking noise.
