Honda Civic’s
oil type is 5W-20 oil for DX, LX, EX, and EX-L trims. If you have an Si, then 5W-30 is recommended.
The numbers refer to the oil’s viscosity. Recommendations will vary depending on the engine type and the climate where you live.
No matter what, make sure the oil you use has the American Petroleum Institute (API) seal and is labeled for gasoline engines.
