What are the different types of car insurance?

What does each insurance cover? I don't really understand the difference between different types of car insurance.

“There are two main
types of car insurance
. They are
liability insurance
and full coverage.
Liability insurance is made up of two parts.
Bodily injury liability
and
property damage liability
.
Bodily injury covers any injuries you may cause to someone else in an accident. Property damage covers any damage you may cause.
Full coverage is made up of
comprehensive insurance
and
collision insurance
.
Comprehensive insurance protects your vehicle from damage that may occur from a covered peril. This often includes:
  • windstorm damage
  • a collision with an animal
  • broken glass & vandalism.
Collision insurance protects your vehicle if in a collision with another vehicle or object.
Most states have minimum liability requirements while full coverage is typically optional.”
