One of my friends moved to York, Pennsylvania, a few years ago, and he says it’s a great place if I want to settle down a bit. I was going to visit and start looking for a place to live, but I’m not sure where. What are some of the best places to live in York?

The colonial architecture in
York
is certainly reminiscent of Pennsylvania
, but the small-town vibe remains. Here are the best places to live in York:- Salem Square: Located on the northern bank of Cordorus Creek, Salem Square is a historic neighborhood with affordable housing and a few restaurants. It isn’t the life of the town, but it does offer affordable housing.
- Olde Towne East: Packed with 150-year-old row houses, Olde Towne East showcases the historic architecture of York at its finest. But if you love beer, you’ll find a lively Irish pub, a craft brewery, and other nightlife options.
- Yorktowne: If you want a bit of entertainment, Yorktowne is a solid option. Located just east of downtown, you’ll find the baseball stadium, the Strand-Capitol Center for the Performing Arts, and several bars and restaurants.
