The Ford Expedition is a large SUV that's big enough for the whole family (up to eight passengers) and hardy enough for those off-road trails. The Expedition is highly customizable, offering sporty, performance-focused packages and even heavy-duty towing capabilities.

The base XL trim starts at $52,080 and comes ready to handle your day-to-day adventures. The mid-level Timberline trim, starting at $69,150, ups the ante for off-roading performance. And the luxe Platinum trim, which starts at $77,765, gives you the most high-tech Expedition experience.
The Expedition comes standard with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Those looking for more power can opt for an amped-up version of this engine. The Limited's V6 brings 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, and the Limited's Stealth PerformancePackage and the Timberline trim feature 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet.
Transmission-wise, 2022 Expeditions come standard with a 10-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard as well, but you can upgrade to four-wheel drive.
All trim levels give you the option to add the Heavy-Duty Trailer Towing Package for $795. This package brings the towing capacity from 6,000 pounds up to 9,300 pounds for rear-wheel-drive models or 9,200 pounds for four-wheel-drive models.
