Should a Dodge Neon be expensive to insure?

I recently bought a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT for better fuel economy. But when I tried to insure it, the rates were super expensive. Should a Dodge Neon be $200 a month to insure?

“Unless you’re getting collision coverage and comprehensive coverage, $200 seems very high for an economical vehicle with a 2.0-liter engine.
However, other factors might be at play. If you have a DUI or numerous speeding tickets on your record, or if you’re a young driver, $200 might be an appropriate price, even for liability insurance.
To get the lowest rate, your best bet is to shop around. Check out Jerry to get a comprehensive list of quotes and to find the best policy at the best price.”
