Is wheel alignment covered under the BMW warranty?
I have a 2021 BMW 3 Series that needs a wheel alignment. I know the warranty comes with maintenance coverage, but is wheel alignment included in that?

No—wheel alignment is not covered under the BMW Limited Warranty. All model year 2017 BMWs and newer sold from an authorized BMW center come standard with a BMW Ultimate Care package for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
The BMW Ultimate Care package covers:
- Engine oil
- Engine filter
- Brake fluid
- Cabin microfilter(s)
- Engine air filter(s)
- Spark plugs
- Remote control/key battery
- Vehicle check
- Fuel filter (diesel engines only)
On top of Ultimate Care, all BMWs also come with a complimentary BMW Maintenance Program for the first four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This covers all factory-recommended maintenance outlined in the Service and Warranty Booklet.
Certain items that need replacement due to normal wear and tear but aren’t covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty—brake pads, brake rotors, wiper blade inserts, etc.—are included in this coverage, provided wear and tear exceed BMW wear limits. That said, there are several exclusions to this program, some of which include:
- Vehicle safety inspection and emissions test
- Oxygen sensor replacement(s)
- Fluid top-offs
- Wheel alignment, tire balancing, and rotation
- Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) reset
BMW vehicles come with a comprehensive warranty, but if something is damaged and may not be covered under the warranty, having comprehensive insurance coverage can be helpful. Don’t have any? Don’t sweat it!
