Is there a Honda Insight brake system problem?

Is there a Honda Insight brake system problem? I had a light in my car come on that said “brake system,” but then it turned off.

Currently, there aren’t any singular known problems with the
Honda Insight
brake system, and no recalls appear to be issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) related to a brake system problem to date.
However, it never hurts to periodically check back for any updates. For Hondas, and any other cars for that matter, you can stay on top of any
factory recalls by checking the vehicle identification number (VIN)
on Safercar.gov.
If a brake system indicator light did turn on, it’s a good idea to have a certified mechanic or Honda service center take a look at your vehicle to confirm your brakes are in good working order so you can continue driving your vehicle safely.
Here are some potential reasons why your brake light might pop on:
  • Faulty sensors
  • Leak in brake fluid
  • Worn brake pads
  • Parking brake is on
