I’m in the market for a mid-size SUV. I drove a Mazda CX-5 the other day, and while I liked it, I wasn’t sure if it was large enough for my needs. Is the Mazda CX-5 technically considered a mid-size SUV?

No — the Mazda CX-5 is not a mid-size SUV. It has similar features and is actually a bit larger than most of the vehicles in its class, but the Mazda CX-5 is actually a compact SUV. It offers plenty of space for five passengers and up to 59.3 cubic feet of cargo space, making it one of the more spacious compact SUVs out there.
