Is it worth the time to take intensive driving courses?

I want to get my license before I head off to university, but the pandemic forced me to delay taking driving lessons. I’ve been looking into taking intensive driving courses, and I’m worried about the cost and the learning speed, especially if I fail and have to start over. Is it worth the time to take intensive driving courses?

Hey, we fully understand the desire to get things done quickly, especially when the reward is the freedom of a driver’s license. But when it comes to
learning how to drive
, speed isn’t necessarily the answer.
While it is possible to learn at the condensed rate that intensive driving courses move at, it’s rarely sufficient for learners in the long run. In fact, it can be an overload of information that you may not fully absorb. In addition, you may not get the chance to practice in various weather and driving conditions, which can leave you ill-prepared.
So no, we do not recommend intensive driving courses. It really is better to go slowly and take the time to absorb the information rather than trying to pack it in all at once.
