Is it safe to use cruise control in the rain?

I’m currently driving home from work, and it’s raining outside. There’s not much traffic out on the highway, and I was wondering if it’s safe to use my car’s cruise control in the rain?

The truth is, it’s best to avoid using cruise control during inclement weather, such as rain.
The reason behind this is that if you apply cruise control to a fast speed, it could lead to your car hydroplaning when approaching standing water. When it comes to icy conditions, you run the risk of your car sliding and ultimately spinning out of control.
It’s best to avoid using cruise control during inclement weather so that you have full control of your vehicle and you can regulate your car’s speed depending on the conditions of the road.
Driving in inclement weather can be scary. Having the right car insurance behind you in case of anything can help ease some of those nerves. With over 50+ top name brand insurance companies to choose from,
