Is gap insurance required in Illinois?

I’m car shopping and I think I’ve found the perfect vehicle for my needs. Even though I have some cash, I’ll still need to take out a loan. I just want to know if I need to budget a bit more for gap insurance. Does Illinois legally require gap insurance?
