My band is considering renting or buying a van to help move all our instruments and equipment to practices and shows. Loading and unloading multiple cars is like playing a game of Tetris, and we’re tired of it! Unfortunately, all of us are a little intimidated by the idea of driving a van. Is driving a van hard?

Hey, I think your question really rocks! Driving a van isn’t too much harder than driving a regular car, but here are some tips:
- Practice in an empty parking lot or side street to get the hang of it before you start driving on major roads.
- Leave yourself more space to brake than you would in a regular car.
- Make wide turns and be sure to take them slowly.
- Pack the van so that the weight of your instruments and equipment is evenly distributed.
- Tie down any loose cargo.
