Is an oil change covered under a BMW warranty?

I purchased a new BMW M3 almost a year ago, and I think it’s going to need an oil change soon. Will BMW’s warranty cover it?

Yes! When you buy a brand-new Bimmer, oil changes are covered under the BMW warranty for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is in addition to BMW’s Maintenance Program, which includes all factory-recommended maintenance on your new car for three years or 36,000 miles.
With synthetic oil, BMWs generally need one oil change per year with an average price between $135 and $175. That means BMW’s free oil changes can save you up to $700—and that doesn’t include the other routine maintenance covered by the Maintenance Program.
