Is a Ford Certified Pre-Owned Warranty transferable?

My grandfather wants to sell me his Ford Edge that’s a few years old. He said that he purchased a certified-preowned warranty for it that’s still in good standing. My question is, will we be able to transfer the Ford CPO warranty if he sells me the car?

Buying a car that’s still under warranty is certainly alluring! A Ford Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Warranty, is transferrable. If a Ford vehicle is sold while it’s still under a CPO warranty, the warranty goes with the vehicle and remains in effect until it expires.
Ford’s Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty lasts for 12 months or 12,000 miles and takes effect on the date that your New Vehicle bumper-to-bumper warranty expires.
A CPO warranty can help put your mind at ease should anything unexpected happen with your Ford. This is the same reason why it’s so important to have good
