Is 810 a good credit score for a car loan?
I’m closing in on my retirement, but I’m still hoping to do some farmwork and carpentry around the house. I want to get a nice new pickup for the outdoor work. I hadn’t checked my credit score in years—apparently, though, it’s up over 800. Will I get a good interest rate on my loan with an 810 credit score?

We’ve got good news for you: 810 is an excellent score (one of the best scores possible, in fact!), so you should have no trouble getting great terms on your loan. With a score that high, you can expect an APR of around 2.6% on your pickup truck.
Car loans are organized by category, and your credit rating puts you firmly in the “Superprime” loan zone (781-850). Even if you did change your mind and go for an old, beaten-up truck, you could still get a low rate of about 3.7% for your used vehicle loan. Keep in mind that your exact interest rate will depend on multiple factors—for example, the length of your loan term.
