Does the Hyundai warranty cover the clutch?

I’m thinking about buying a manual-shift car, but they’re disappearing quickly. My friend is a mechanic, and he told me that Hyundai still makes a few models with a stick. Before I test drive one or buy one, I want to make sure the clutch is covered by the warranty—will the Hyundai warranty cover a clutch?

Manual cars are fun to drive but are becoming scarce in the new car market. The
Hyundai
warranty will not cover the clutch unless the clutch was damaged due to a manufacturer’s defect. This would fall under both the 5-year, 60,000-mile basic warranty and the 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, depending on how long you’ve owned the car.
However, Hyundai may also determine that a damaged clutch was part of normal wear and tear, which means it isn’t covered. In this case, you would have to pay out of pocket. The average cost to replace a clutch in a Hyundai is around $1,100, including parts and labor.
