I thought all cars had an even number of cylinders, like a four-cylinder or a V6. But someone just told me that some cars have three. In a Nissan Juke, how many cylinders are there?

While the prior generation of Nissan Jukes had a four-cylinder engine with 188 horsepower, newer Jukes have a three-cylinder turbocharged engine with 115 horsepower.
Three-cylinder engines are lighter which helps with fuel economy. But if power is important to you, you might want to look for a four-cylinder Juke instead.
Among crossover SUVs, the Nissan Juke is an odd duck. It doesn’t offer much room in the rear seats or trunk. It doesn’t score very well in some crash tests according to
Nissan safety ratings
. But the Juke’s higher clearance, optional all-wheel drive, and unique appearance have earned it loyal fans since 2010.Ultimately, you can figure out how many cylinders a Juke has by checking its model year (or owner’s manual). For example, 2019 and newer Jukes usually have the three-cylinder engine, whereas prior Jukes have the four-cylinder engine.
