How much is it to insure a car for a day?

Does it cost a lot to insure a car for a day? I'm going on a quick trip in my buddy's car and I want to make sure I'm covered.

Making sure you have coverage when borrowing someone’s car is important! While finding insurance for a day won’t cost a lot, it will be nearly impossible to find. Almost every reliable provider will only offer six or twelve-month plans, so a single-day policy probably won’t be your best option.
Luckily, you won’t need your own coverage! Most providers acknowledge something called permissive use—which means your friend’s policy will cover you if they allow you to use their vehicle.
In the case of an accident, your friend’s coverage will kick in first. But if it isn’t enough to cover the incident, you’ll be responsible for any additional costs.
If you still feel like you need your own coverage, you should consider a
non-owner policy
. Non-owner policies offer affordable liability coverage for people who don’t have regular access to a vehicle. It will also cover you in any car you drive! In terms of reliable insurance, it’s the closest thing to a single-day policy you can find.
