How much does a Honda Fit weigh?

I’m going camping this weekend, and I have to drive through an old covered bridge on the way there. I’m pretty sure my little vehicle won’t be a problem, but just in case: how much does a Honda Fit weigh?

Hey there! Depending on the year and trim level, a
Honda Fit
 weighs between 2,522 and 2,648 pounds. That’s just slightly lighter than the average car, which weighs roughly 2,800 pounds.
Covered bridges were built mainly between 1825 and 1875, so even the newest is well over 100 years old. Suffice it to say, most of the remaining covered bridges cannot hold the weight of a modern vehicle.
Of course, there are exceptions. If you find a covered bridge that’s still in use, it will have a warning sign on it listing the weight capacity. And remember: if in doubt, err on the side of caution!
