How long does it take for the DMV to show your car insurance information?

I got a notice from the DMV that my insurance lapsed. I started a new policy and my insurer said they sent proof to the DMV. Their website hasn't updated yet. How long does it take to update your information?

The DMV can take up to seven days to update their reports, in most states.
As long as your
car insurance company
sent proof to the DMV, you shouldn’t have any more issues.
If you’re concerned, you can follow up with the DMV yourself. Most allow you to submit
proof of insurance
yourself, as well.
Should you face any fines or fees after you reinstate your insurance, contact the DMV. They should reverse any incorrect charges so long as you did not actually have a lapse in coverage.
