While potential buyers used to have to join a waitlist in order to purchase a Tesla, the auto manufacturing company has since responded to increasing demand and increased its production rates. Now, most Tesla buyers won’t have to wait to purchase any of the vehicles in the standard lineup.
As of 2022, the company averages just over 200,000 vehicles per quarter, which is a significant increase from their 2016 rate of just 76,285 vehicles in one year. As of October 2022, Tesla had sold a total of 3,233,623 vehicles.
