How many miles are electric cars good for?

I have been looking into buying an electric car, but I’d like to save a little money by getting a used one that is already a few years old. I know this means I should be prepared for the car to have some mileage on it already, but is there a certain mileage cutoff I should look out for?

The
mileage
on a standard gas-powered car can be a total make-or-break scenario when it comes to car-buying, but with
electric cars
, you have a little more flexibility when it comes to how many miles you can get out of it.
The battery of an electric car will deteriorate over time, but most electric cars produced in the last few years are anticipated to last 10 to 20 years or up to about 200,000 miles before they need replacing.
In the U.S., there is even a federal mandate that electric car batteries be covered under warranty for a minimum of eight years or the first 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
If you’re shopping around for a new car, you’re going to need a
car insurance
plan that ensures you’re getting the best coverage for the best price. The
