How many cylinders does a Volvo S60 have?

I’ve owned Volvos for a few years now and don’t think I’ll be switching brands anytime soon. The 2023 Volvo caught my eye but I want to know more about its engine. How many cylinders does the Volvo S60 have?

The 2023
Volvo S60
is available as a traditional gas-powered vehicle or a plug-in hybrid. The non-hybrid version is powered by a 247-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pairs with front- or all-wheel drive.
Four cylinders are widely considered the optimal number of cylinders for an average car or SUV that needs a good balance of power and efficiency. Six- and eight-cylinder engines may be more powerful, but they’ll use much more gas.
When you’re on your daily commute, there’s a good chance that the majority of cars you see on any given day use a 4-cylinder engine—they’re extremely reliable and common!
If you decide to go with the hybrid S60, you may be able to
take advantage of a hybrid or electric car tax credit
depending on where you live. Otherwise, make sure to track your gas mileage and keep these tips in mind to save on gas expenses:
  • Avoid idling as this wastes fuel.
  • Make use of cruise control to prevent abrupt acceleration and handling.
  • Follow a
    car maintenance schedule
    to stay ahead of issues.
