How many cylinders does a Hyundai Santa Fe have?

I’m interested in buying a Hyundai Santa Fe. However, my friends have told me that many Hyundai vehicles feel somewhat underpowered. Before I buy the Santa Fe, I just want to make sure that this isn’t true. How many cylinders does the engine in a Hyundai Santa Fe have?

The Hyundai Santa Fe has either four or six cylinders in its engine, depending on what trim and model year it is. Today, the Santa Fe only has four-cylinder options but ** you could get a V6 engine between 2000 and 2018**if you wanted the extra power.
The current Hyundai Santa Fe has two engine options that provide a nice balance of power, speed, and fuel economy for all budgets:
  • Inline 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque
  • Turbocharged inline 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque
The
2022 Santa Fe gets up to 28 mpg
on the highway, regardless of the engine. That’s a decent amount of fuel economy compared to the size of the engine.
