How many 1959 Cadillacs were made?
I’m a classic car collector and I’m looking for a Cadillac from 1959 to honor the year my dad was born. I just want to know how hard I’ll have to look. How many Cadillacs were produced in 1959?

What an awesome way to pay homage to your father! Cadillac had long-lasting success with the 1959 model year, producing two of the most iconic Caddies in existence: the Cadillac Series 62 and the Cadillac Deville. Here’s how many 1959 Cadillacs were made for each model:
- 1959 Series 62: 142,272 units
- 1959 Deville: 21,924 units
Obviously, you’ll have a lot more luck finding a 1959 Series 62 than a 1959 Deville, but either way, you’ll want to protect your classic ride with a solid classic car insurance policy. This is typically much cheaper than a standard car insurance policy because it doesn’t include all of the state’s requirements.
There is a trade-off though. You can only opt for classic car coverage if you don’t plan on driving your older car as much. Of course, if you’re only looking to collect, you probably won’t be taking a ‘59 Series 62 to run your daily errands and you’ll be able to qualify for this cheaper policy.
