How long is the Ram warranty?
I’ve recently inherited a Ram truck that’s fairly new. I don’t know as much about it as I’d like to. There are a couple of minor cosmetic repairs that I’m hoping the warranty might cover. That’s why my question is: how long is the warranty for a Ram?

If you can get repairs covered by your warranty, this is the best-case scenario! The Ram warranty lasts for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
This is known by Ram as the Basic Limited Warranty, also called a factory warranty. It covers most bumper-to-bumper material or workmanship-related problems for the allotted time period—as long as the repairs aren’t due to improper maintenance or driver irresponsibility. For instance, if there’s a cigarette burn in the upholstery, a factory warranty won’t cover the damage.
Ram also has a Powertrain Warranty that begins at the original date of purchase and is in effect for five years or 60,000 miles. The Powertrain Warranty covers parts and labor for engine, transmission, or wheel drive mechanical defects or malfunctions.
As long as the Basic Limited Warranty or the Powertrain Warranty is in effect, you’ll need to have repairs done at a participating Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Ram dealership.
