How long is the international driving permit valid?
I applied for an international driving permit for a trip I’m going on next month, but I’ll need it again at the end of the year. Will it still be valid or will I have to apply for a new one?

It’s always important to check the expiration dates on your documents before you travel! The international driving permit is valid for one year from the date of issue. That means if you apply for a permit in April, you’ll have until April of the following year to legally drive internationally.
When the time comes that you do need to reapply:
Visit the American Automobile Association (AAA) website at aaa.com
Download and complete the IDP application
Obtain two original passport photos
Ensure your U.S. driver’s license is valid
Remit payment for the $20 permit fee
