How far can a Jeep Compass go on empty?
The gas light on my Jeep Compass flicked on the other day while I was driving, and I don’t typically let the tank get low enough for it to come on. I was worried about driving, but how long could I drive with the light on empty before running out of gas?

Jeep doesn’t release the exact specs on how far you can drive with the fuel light on, but in general, the gas light will illuminate when the gas tank is at 10-15% capacity. This means that a Jeep Compass with a 13.5-gallon gas tank could go about 40-60 miles on empty.
Remember that this is just an estimate—many cars can drive a bit further, but it’s tricky to tell exactly how far a Jeep Compass can go before you run out of fuel. Plus, if you’re driving aggressively or you’re in heavy stop-and-go traffic, your fuel economy declines, which means those 40-60 miles could easily be cut in half.
Letting your gas tank run to empty is never a good idea, but if your gas light comes on, you should head to a gas station ASAP. If you can’t, drive at a steady pace, and don’t be too heavy with the accelerator. If your gas runs out on the road, you can always call for
