How do you use Bluetooth audio on Ford SYNC?

My family has only ever owned Hondas, but we just bought a new Ford that we’re loving so far. We’re still learning all the ins and outs, though. How do you use the Bluetooth SYNC system to play music?

Learning new vehicles and technology can feel daunting, but playing your own tunes in your
Ford
is easy. Here’s how to use Bluetooth audio with Ford SYNC:
  1. First, you’ll need to pair your phone with Ford Sync. Put your car in park and turn on your phone’s Bluetooth.
  2. On your SYNC system, press Phone, then Add phone. You may see a PIN code pop up on your screen.
  3. Select your Ford from your phone’s Bluetooth menu, putting in the PIN code if prompted.
  4. You should see a pairing confirmation on your vehicle’s screen.
Now that your phone is paired, you should be able to play your audio over your vehicle’s speakers seamlessly. Make sure Bluetooth is selected from the media source menu. If your Ford is equipped with voice command, you can press the voice button and say “Bluetooth audio.” Then you can say any of the following options:
  • Play previous/next track
  • Pause
  • Play
  • Play all
That’s it!
