How do you turn off HDC on a BMW?
I’ve noticed my BMW has been automatically slowing down at unnecessary times when descending hills, and it’s been a bit frustrating. I think the HDC is to blame, but I have no idea how to disable it. How can I turn off my BMW’s HDC feature?

The Hill Descent Control, or HDC, feature in your
BMW
is most useful when going down a steep grade off-road. In general, the HDC system is not designed for smooth, clear roads, which may explain why it has been giving you issues. Fortunately, turning off HDC in a BMW is easy and you’ll be driving smoothly in just a few minutes.To turn off HDC on a BMW, all you have to do is press the HDC button located on the center console. The button will have an image of a vehicle going downhill with a speedometer above it, and you’ll know it’s off if there are no lights illuminated above it. If you ever want to turn the system on again, just press the button again.
